Happy September!

Is it just me, or has this summer flown by WAY. TOO. FAST??? Life gets crazier and crazier the older you get; believe your parents kiddos, it's true! I never did know what my mom was talking about when I was younger, but now I know exactly what she meant. But God is good, and his blessings are never ending; I cannot complain about the life He has given me.

It's been over a month since I've written a post! :/ I'll try to do better, but quite honestly, it doesn't seem like my busy schedule will be letting up any time soon. I'm too busy working at a honey farm, extracting tons of honey, and getting stung by ornery bees... *forced smile*

Here's a general week in the September life of this young teenage graduate:
  • Sunday - I get up at 9:00am and go to church. We attend a small Baptist church ten minutes from our house. After service I come back home and usually spend the rest of the day either being really lazy and doing absolutely nothing, or I'm going bananas with cleaning the house and/or my room. Sundays are also nice to catch up on started projects.
  • Monday-Friday - I usually wake up at 7:00am and head over to Honey Meadows to extract honey for 8-9 hours. Then come home and take a shower (you get SO sticky), eat supper, and then pretty much do nothing all evening, simply because you're so sore and tired from carrying boxes and jamming your fingers on every possible frame.
  • Wednesday - is a special day because after work my siblings and I go to the park and play volleyball with a bunch of friends! However, this will be ending soon as the weather grows colder...
  • Saturday - Get up around 7:30am, and go to my piano and violin lessons. Soon, voice lessons will be added to this list of my Saturday morning tasks! And then of course, we usually have weekend plans of some sort on Saturdays.
But yeah... basically my life consists of mostly work at the moment, some fun things and events, and sleep wherever I can find it ;P

Oh!! And another recent event I was a part of was the amazing production of "Oklahoma!", by Inspiration Theatre. I helped backstage, moving props and backdrops, and fixing hair. They did an amazing job! I'd add more pictures, but quite honestly hardly any of the ones we took turned out. So here's just one to give you an idea.

Watch my blog within these next few weeks! I'm hoping to have a "sewing" post for you soon!! A handful of civil war day/picnic dresses, perhaps part of a ball gown, and wedding dress ideas.

Write ya'll later!!!

  1. I remember when Christian extracted honey during the summer! That's one tough job. Sounds absolutely exhausting. ;)

    1. YES!!! I actually really am NOT liking this job :/ I honestly have no clue how I let myself get dragged into this... It IS a lot of work, and emotionally exhausting, at least with the bees. I can't wait to be done! *sigh*

    1. Haha, yeah... it's not the most fun job I've ever had ;) But I guess I don't mind being considered as "brave" :P LOL. I honestly don't know how I can do it either; it's taken me a long time to finally be able to handle things more comfortably. I don't think I'll go back next year, though :/
